we aren't moving until october, but we are going to clean the house out completely about a week beforehand.  we've already started to make appointments for oversized rubbish pick-ups for our broken sofa, two mirrors, etc. etc., but we have a lot of stuff that we need people to either stake REAL claim on [no 'ooh yeah i want it!' only to follow with 'oops sorry, don't need it' when we are ready to hand it over].  the list may grow or shrink later, depending on whether other parties are interested first, and the list i'm making now is divided into things that can be taken immediately, things that will be ready to go in october, and also free stuff.  if anyone wants anything large, they'll have to arrange for it to be picked up, and unless it's something smaller, most things will have to be picked up personally as opposed to shipped.  but please, serious offers/interest only <3  also, if the price i listed is too expensive in your opinion, give me your best offer and we may be able to work something out.

do you have a japanese bank account? since it's smaller than most items i have available, we could do it via furikomi adding shipping and just send it all to you? :)

Yes, I have one. I had to have help setting up furikomi before so I might need some help to figure it out again, but it's do-able. I also have an American checking account and could write you a check in dollars.

What games are there?

OR there's always the slightly 面倒 for you but not needing to set up furikomi option, which is sending registered cash via recorded delivery [genkin kakitome/現金書留]. you just need to ask for it at the post office, it's either a stamp they use on the envelope or a special envelope, i can't remember...but they have info for it on the post office website :)

we're trying to cover our japanese moving costs this way, so yen is definitely the preferred currency :) if you want to do the kakitome method, you would just need to send me the 4,000yen and i could send it chaku-barai so the postage cost is paid by you when you receive it?

i have quite a few games...i know i have tetris, momotarou dentetsu, vibribbon, puzzle bobble, and maybe gitaruwan [not gitaruman]? i can't remember, so i will have to dig and find them all :)

How much do you think it would cost to ship?

The registered mail option sounds easier for me.

if i send it ゆうパック, they charge based on size, not weight. it would probably be 1,000yen or so? if i send it via chakubarai, then you just pay the delivery person at the door when you take it.

here's the yuupack pricing guide, anyway.

http://www.post.japanpost.jp/fee/simulator/kokunai/parcel.html

i guess it would depend on how much space it would need. i will find it and measure it out. should i pm you my address for the kakitome anyway? :) also let me know if you want it for sure so i can take it off the available list :)

Yes I'll take it :) maybe you can let me know the exact cost and I can send it to you? I can get to the post office almost any week day so it wouldn't take long for me to mail.

i'll strikethru the speakers for sure, but let me know what you want to do re: the printer whenever :) next time you come around i can show it to you, too x

I want the humidifier! And probably those storage containers, too.

I really wish I'd have my own place in october so I could take the washing machine and some actual furniture, too D:

I am desperately trying to blag a trip over in October when my boss comes to do the uni fair thing (recent promotion to Lady Who Arranges The Study Tours For Japanese Universities didn't come with commensurate pay rise so surely it's the least the uni can do). This isn't entirely related to your post but I thought I'd tell you anyway.

nono, i totally understand! i wouldn't really want to buy anything without seeing photos, either...for now, i just wanted to give an idea of what i have available, then go on to give further details/photos as needed :)

i just went and took a few photos with my keitai, so pardon the quality and the mess around them ;P

the lamp is roughly 100cm to the top where the adjustable light extensions start and the stand ends [where the switch is], and it has different light settings on it :) it looks like this [with a 30cm-ish round base]:

Photobucket

[needless to say it's twisted and pushed to the wall, because we aren't using it right now. it's stuffed between piles of magazines, which is why i didn't pull it out to photograph it in its entirety]

the glass table stands 70cm high and has three tiers, each 38cm in in diameter. it looks like this [it has books in it now for the shop, but it's just steel fittings to attach each piece of glass]:

Photobucket

the tv stand/dresser is 72cm tall [which includes the turnable tv table on top], 44cm wide and 40cm deep. it's next to our bed right now, which is why the photo is kind of tight:

no problem :) the tv table is really tall because our bed is mega-tall as well...it was actually a total pain in the ass to search for, so i'm hoping we'll actually be able to find someone to take it eventually XD

no problem, the table is here, so just let me know when/if you want it :D

Is that a good or bad thing?

I almost bought a fridge like that at the recycle shop for more than you're offering it for, lol, so I can't complain.
